SAN FRANCISCO - November 12, 2008 - It is a new day in America, and in this time of hope and change we would be remiss not to recognize the rare occasion of Mexicos Da de Revolucin and Beaujolais Nouveau falling on the same day. To celebrate this day of freedom and new beginnings Scalas Bistro is proud to present Viva Gamay!
To honor the Da de Revolucin our Sir Francis Drake bartenders will compete in a cocktail contest featuring Centenario Aejo tequila.*
Following the contest guests will proceed to the Mezzanine as Gamay enthusiast and respected wine maker Andrew Lane pours his exceptional Gamay Nouveau.
Viva Gamay joins one of the purest expressions of agriculture with the revolutionary spirit of Mexico, symbolizing the backbone of the California wine culture, said Drew Dickson of Andrew Lane wines.
