Facing South Productions present 1959 PINK THUNDERBIRD CONVERTIBLE, Two Plays By James McLure
A night of laughs, tears and secrets. Hattie comes to visit Elizabeth on her back porch. They split a bottle of bourbon, share secrets and wonder who is that person coming up the driveway.
Roy, Elizabeth's husband, came back from Vietnam two years ago. He was shot up and since coming home, he can't get anything together. This night his brother, RAY, comes to pick him up and before they leave ANGEL'S, Roy wants to play some games and Ray wants to tell his big brother a secret.
It's a whirlwind of emotions. However, with all that is happening around them, Elizabeth and Roy realize, they love each other and the people that surround them accept it.
1959 PINK THUNDERBIRD CONVERTIBLE opens at The National Pastime Theater(4139 N. Broadway) on November 6th and runs Thursday through Sunday until December 7th. The shows on Thursday-Saturday are 8pm and Sunday at 3pm.
