Women's Work 2014
Tennessee Women's Theater Project returns to the Looby Theater beginning Friday May 2 to present the Eighth Annual Women's Work festival of performing and visual arts created by women. Running through Sunday May 18, the festival spans a wide range of styles and genres to offer eleven completely different programs. See the full lineup below

May 2, 7:30 pm Theater: Reading of the full-length play, Madeline J. Small Is Getting Smaller by Emily Feldman.
May 3, 7:30 pm Dance Night: Performances by Chinese Arts Alliance, Epiphany Dance Company, Husted Dance, and Marci Murphree Reasons Contemporary Dance Ensemble.
May 4, 2:30 pm Films: Documentaries The Art of Healing by Edith Costanza and A Portrait of Ultra Violet by Karen Linton; Embalmer's Gray, a dramatic short by Jennifer Bonior, and short films from Nashville Public Television. May 8, 7:30 pm Theater: Steak and Donuts by Anna Hammonds; and Performance Art: Storybook Heroin Presents: The Lil' Mermaid by Heidi Ervin and Shawn Cornelius.
May 9, 7:30 pm Theater: Staged reading of the full-length play, The Osanbi Deal by Marilynn Barner Anselmi.
May 10, 7:30 pm AN EVENING OF SONG AND STORY featuring readings by Myra Stephens and Francie Murphey, and singer/songwriters Ashley Mintz and Lauren Pratt.
May 11, 2:30 pm Poetry: The Eighth Annual Mother's Day Poetry Show includes Tina Murray, Alita Terry & Kana Gaines, Edith Costanza, Amy E. Hall, Melanie Wallace, Amy Wright, Leslie Bohn, Sylvia Crawford and Jessica Polish. A FREE ROSE FOR EVERY MOTHER!
May 15, 7:30 pm Theater: Staged reading of the play Six Triple Eight by Mary McCallum.
May 16, 7:30 pm Two One-woman Shows: Dress Kiss Me by Marlene Nichols and From the Motherland to the Promised Land by Sherre Bishop.
May 17, 7:30 pm One-woman Show: My Name is Rachel Corrie by Katharine Viner and Alan Rickman, produced and performed by Jaclyn Johnson Tidwell.
May 18, 2:30 pm AN AFTERNOON OF SHORT PLAYS featuring works by playwrights Judy Klass, Robyn Brooks, Madeleine Hicks and Melanie Vare.
Visual Arts Works by Theresa Dyer, Ashley Mintz and Clients of Room in the Inn will be on display for the run of the festival
