blackandblue dance projects is pleased to present choreographer Sasha Ivanochko's newest creation, "Speak, Love". Framing her dance in the polar literary worlds of Rumi, a 13th century mystical poet, and Roland Barthes, a 20th century French literary essayist, Ivanochko takes an unflinching look at the barriers of language and skin in conveying the essence of love. Profane, sacred, animal and psychological, "Speak, Love" is a powerful visual examination of human sexuality and the quest for and understanding.
