Georgetown's Haunted Tours
**Please note: The Friends of Georgetown History Walking Tour occurred on October 24 and 25. The Brew House Tour continues on Halloween and November 1st with a completely different show than last weekend - featuring Ensemble Sub Masa and ghosts led by Keira McDonald, Christopher Bange, and Annex Theatre.**
Get your fill of history and haunts when Friends of Georgetown History and Theatre Off Jackson team up to show you some of Georgetown's colorful past.
The Haunted History Walking Tour is now in its 4th year, and is hosted by Friends of Georgetown History. Starting at Coliman Restaurant on East Marginal Way and winding through the Georgetown neighborhood to the original Rainier Brewery on Airport Way, the tour features Georgetown's past and current characters, architecture and ghosts. The Walking Tour departs every 20 minutes beginning at 6PM on October 24 and 25. More info about the walking tour: http://www.georgetownhistory.com/historyblog.html
The Haunted Brew House Tour runs two weekends. Built in 1903 by the Seattle Brewing & Malting Company, the brewery was at one time the sixth largest beer-producer in the world. The brewery formed the company town of Georgetown in 1904 with the plant manager as the citys mayor as a wet outpost where alcoholic beverages were allowed. Theatre Off Jackson and friends bring the Brew House to life this fall, and this is a rare opportunity to see the Brew House after sunset. Tours start hourly beginning at 7PM. Oct. 24 and 25 features members of New Century Theater, Ear To The Ground Theatre, and Circus Contraption. Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 features members of Annex Theatre and Ensemble Sub Masa.
Tickets are $7 for the Haunted History Walking Tour $10 for the Haunted Brew House Tour, or $15 for both tours
