The Alloy Orchestra accompanies THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA
Sunday, September 29, at 4:00 pm
Boston's Alloy Orchestra presents the Cleveland premiere of their original score for Rupert Julian's 1925 Lon Chaney silent horror classic that spawned numerous remakes and the hit Broadway musical. It tells of a mysterious masked man (Chaney) who lives in the bowels of the Paris Opera House. The movie will be seen in a gorgeous new color-tinted 35mm print that also restores the original two-strip Technicolor of the masquerade ball sequence. 78 min.
The Alloy Orchestra will also accompany Fritz Lang's METROPOLIS on Sat., Sept. 28 at 8 pm (see separate Brown Paper Tickets listing) and Victor Sjostrom's HE WHO GETS SLAPPED, also starring Lon Chaney, on Sun., Sept. 29 at 7 pm. Separate admissions required.
