Frances Perkins Center 2013 Awards Ceremony / "Rediscovering Government"
The Frances Perkins Center and the Roosevelt Institute present "Rediscovering Government: Making People Matter," a free event in Portland.
Launched in March of 2012, Rediscovering Government, the Roosevelt Institute's flagship initiative, cultivates a new narrative to counter the anti-government language, attitudes, and policies that have dominated American politics for a generation. Led by Senior Fellow Jeff Madrick, the program provides a progressive framework around the evolving role of government, depicting the ways in which government has fueled innovation, supported social justice, and improved quality of life in America.
The 2013 Frances Perkins Center Award recipients, Ai-jen Poo of the National Domestic Workers Alliance and Sally Greenberg of the National Consumers League, will speak with Jeff Madrick at this free event.
