Pagan Night at Ward Eight

If prophecies are right, this collaborative evening between Evanston's hottest cocktail bar, Ward Eight, and Found will be spirited in every sense of the word. Ward Eight owners Anne Carlson and Cody Modeer will work their magic creating libations fit for the gods while imparting their wisdom as they preach the gospel as to why they have chosen specific spirits.

To complement the mystical libations and cultish vibe, Chef Nicole will create a five-course seated dinner inspired by the elements of nature. The four elements - earth, fire, air, and water - were celebrated during the original Pagan Days and intermingled with the winter solstice celebrations of yesteryear. To enhance the celestial experience, readings by spiritual mediums offering mystic predictions will be available to guests in addition to fifth chakra libations with a paired menu, which includes:

Air - Parsnip Soup with basil and pistachio foam
Water - Butter-Poached Sturgeon, celery root,sweet potato
Fire - Grilled Spicy Goat Sausage with pumpkin seeds
Earth - Roasted Beef with mushrooms, potatoes, and raclette
Dessert - Pudding Cake with blood orange, coconut, and lime

Tickets for this event are $80 per person (exclusive of tax and gratuity) and can be purchased here. Net Proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Connections for the Homeless, whose mission is to provide housing, employment, and supportive services to move individuals and families out of the shadow of homelessness.
