Cristina Fontanelli's (www.cristinafontanelli.com) voice/artistry has been praised by major media all over the world, including The New York Times and she has been called a "Vocal genius" by The New York Sun and America Oggi Newspapers. Join this international singing sensation and PBS (NY Affiliates) Host for Andrea Bocelli and Il Volo, as she returns to San Diego/La Jolla for the 3rd year with her highly-acclaimed show "Christmas in Italy-TM" (running 10 years in New York City, 12/7/13, 3 p.m. www.smartTix.com).
For this special event, Ms. Fontanelli will be accompanied by piano, mandolins, guitar,accordion and a children/student choir. Local master musicians such as Chris Aquavella (mandolin)will join Cristina.
This great Holiday show will take you on a vocal journey through Italy's best loved songs and arias, as well as Neapolitan and Christmas classics written by Italian greats including Donizetti, Rossini, Tosti, and Puccini along with such classic Neapolitan songs as "Torna A Surriento," "Christo Paese d'o Sole" and the Italian Christmas classic "Tu Scendi dalle Stelle" ("You Came Down From The Stars.")
