Please join the Big Sur Land Trust and Monterey Jazz Festival on Sunday, September 15, 2013 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. in celebration of BSLT's 35th Anniversary at Gardener Ranch in Carmel Valley!

Dave Douglas, trumpeter and composer, is "the unassuming king of independent jazz" (DownBeat), and his unique contributions to improvised music have garnered distinguished recognition, including a Guggenheim Fellowship, an Aaron Copland award and two Grammy nominations. Douglas' new quintet is a trumpet and tenor sax-led group. He is a co-founder and director of the Festival of New Trumpet Music and in 2013, he begins his second year as International Jazz Artist in Residence at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
Parking is located at the Hidden Valley Music Seminar, 88 West Carmel Valley Road, Carmel Valley, CA. Complimentary shuttle service to and from the nearby Gardener Ranch will be provided.
