Dried Flower Wreath Making Workshop
Learn how to create beautiful and long-lasting dried flower holiday wreaths with Beth Benjamin, former apprentice and founding student of the UCSC Garden, in this hands-on, "make and take" workshop.
Beth will demonstrate the mechanics of putting everything together and will have several examples to guide your inspiration. You'll be able to choose from a wide selection of dried materials that were grown and dried at the Farm & Garden for your wreath. With care, your wreath will last for years.
Light refreshments will be served and the atmosphere promises to be jovial, creative and social.
What to Bring:
Flower snips, pruning shears or scissors if you have them (we will have a few extra).
About the Instructor:
Beth Benjamin was one of the founding students at the UCSC Garden, working with Alan Chadwick in 1967 before spinning off to found Camp Joy Gardens in Boulder Creek. She managed Shepherds Seeds for many years and still serves as writer and horticultural advisor to Renee's Garden.
Workshop Cost:
Cost of the workshop is $70 general admission; $60 for Friends of the Farm & Garden members, certified UC Master Gardeners and Students. Or add $5 to the prices above and pay at the door (cash or check only)
A $15 materials fee is included in the price and applies to all attendees.
