PNC Bank and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield sponsor an evening of music and fun featuring headliner Eddie Holman and Johnny Angel and the Halos. Other performers include the Urban Impact Singers, who will kick off the concert and CAPA graduate DaMarra Chanel, who has recently recorded the Steals' latest song, "Nothing Without You."
The song, "Could It Be I'm Falling In Love," written by brothers Melvin and Mervin Steals from Aliquippa, PA,made its indelible mark on popular culture 40 years ago, peaking at #1 on the R&B chart and #4 on the Billboard Pop Singles chart and selling over 1,000,000 copies! Originally recorded by the Spinners, the song has been recorded by several artists and continues to be played around the world.
A pre-concert reception with the artists will feature an awards ceremony to honor life achievers, difference makers and local youth. On display at the reception will be memorabilia from 40 years of music history.
Ticket proceeds benefit Urban Impact Foundation and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
