Bring Down The House for Berkeley High! Oakland Interfaith Youth and Adult Choirs Concert + BHS Student Performers
On Saturday, October 4, 2008, the Berkeley High Development Group will host the award-winning Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choirs and special BHS student performers at 7:30 PM.
Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choirs - Adult and Youth - directed by Terrance Kelly, has won Bay Area hearts as premiere musical and soul messengers, honoring the sound and tradition of Black Gospel and Spiritual Music for 23 years (go to www.oigc.org for listing of community work, guest appearances, recordings, awards). OIGC's outstanding, joyful offering will be enhanced by BHS voices and dance, and by commentary about Negro Spirituals and their relationship to American music.
Concert hosts The Berkeley High Development Group are committed to raising money for all BHS programs, helping to provide student and teacher educational resources school-wide.
