Practice Child

Winner of What If? Productions 2012 Playwrights Festival, The Practice Child is an over-the-top, completely outrageous comedy in the vein of playwright Christopher Durang and television shows suc h as 30 ROCK and ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT.

Living in the shadow of his perfect, younger and more handsome brother Bill, is the sweet, jealous and slightly off older brother Blil. When Blil was born his mother spelled his name wrong on his birth certificate. Rather than correcting the error she simply had a new baby and named him Bill. However, there is one thing Bill has the Blil doesn't want...a terminal brain tumor. While visiting Bill in the hospital, Blil has fallen for his younger brother's fiancee. Trying to get his brother out of the picture while dealing with his bi-polar mother,a homeless astronaut claiming to be the brother's long lost father and a senile surgeon is Blil's array of challenges in this exciting and insane new work from SCAD student Tyler Stuart.
