Robben Ford Benefit Concert!!

Guitarist Robben Ford and his band will appear at Matilija Jr. High School Auditorium in Ojai on Sunday, September 21st at 4 PM for a benefit concert to raise funds for friend Tara Jefferys medical expenses due to breast cancer. Jeffery is a much-loved member of the Ojai community who owns Ojai Pilates and Wellness Center and also performs as a singer.
The benefit concert provides a very rare opportunity to catch Robben Ford performing in his hometown between international tours. Ford will be joined onstage by Toss Panos on drums and Travis Carlton on bass, and the opening act will be guitarist and singer Jonathan McEuen. Although Ford is best known for his eight solo recordings, which have garnered him five Grammy nominations, he has also played with such luminaries as Miles Davis, Joni Mitchell, Michael McDonald, Phil Lesh, David Sandborn, George Harrision, Charlie Musslewhite, Bonnie Raitt, and many others. Ford was named one of the top 100 Guitarists in the world by Musician Magazine.
Matilija Auditorium is a lovely 290 seat state of the art venue with comfortable seating and excellent sound, frequently used for local events and concerts.
The event is being produced by Anne Kerry Ford, Robbens wife, and Rain Perry, both of whom are singers. Pesticide Free Ojai is co-producing the event as an opportunity to raise the community's awareness of the association between the use of toxic chemical pesticides and serious diseases. Also co-producing is Ojais Theater 150, providing support for friend Tara Jeffery, who has performed at the theater in the last few years.
