A new original Irish Musical produced by Man Behind the Curtain Productions, incubated by The Cell and part of the 1st Irish Theatre Festival. Written by Marianne Driscoll, directed by Kira Simring and featuring Jason Oremus and Garrett Coleman, former Riverdance stars.
A touching and lively score, a bit of Irish humour and powerful step dancing all work together to bring "McGoldrick's Thread" to life.
The O'Reilly family leaves their home in Clonmel, Ireland and settles in a small apartment in the Bronx to raise their five children. The youngest and only daughter, Magee, is a competitive Irish Step dancer with a big feis in the morning. McGoldrick's Thread takes place over a weekend, with flashbacks to Ireland weaving the thread of the O'Reilly and McGoldrick Families. In a small apartment filled with brothers and commotion, Magee learns to believe in herself and what it takes to make her dreams come true ~ in dance and life.
