Event
InfoCamp Seattle 2008
InfoCamp is an interdisciplinary un-conference for anyone interested in information architecture, user-centered design, librarianship, information management, and related topics.
InfoCamp has no pre-determined session topics or presenters, other than the keynote and plenary sessions. You, the participants, create and lead the sessions. The purpose of this format is to encourage collaboration, interaction, discussion, and real-time innovation.
For more info, visit the web site (http://www.infocamp.info) or the wiki (http://infocampseattle2008.pbwiki.com).
Who will be there?
Students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and hobbyists from the user-centered information community - such as information architects, librarians, user experience designers, usability engineers, technical writers, interaction designers, and researchers in HCI, UCD, LIS, TC, IxD, and related fields.
Cost: $50 for professionals, $10 for students, and free for volunteers.
This fee includes, at no extra cost, parking, an official t-shirt, light breakfast on both days, hot lunch on both days, dinner and adult beverages on Saturday, and as much coffee as you can stand plus a little more.
POTENTIAL VOLUNTEERS: Before you register, please e-mail joshua@infocamp.info to communicate with our volunteer director.
Hope to see you at InfoCamp!
(Online registration closes Friday night at midnight. If you don't register online, you can show up at InfoCamp to register and pay on site. The cost of registration is the same if you attend one or both days. Please bring cash; we can't accept checks or cards. All InfoCamp participants are free to join in for whichever part of the event works for them. You'll still need to register and pay even if you're showing up for only part of InfoCamp.)
