5th Annual Seattle Red Dress Party (21+ Event)
RED DRESS REQUIRED - ATTITUDE OPTIONAL!
The color red is commonly accepted as the international symbol of AIDS awareness, the Seattle Red Dress Party builds on that idea that all guests, despite age, gender or sexual orientation, attend the event wearing a red dress. The visual of all attendees donning red dresses whether male, female, gay, straight, old or young, serves as a powerful symbol of solidarity of people living with HIV/AIDS and also reminds us that we are all here to make a difference and support a common cause.
The Seattle Red Dress Party is the second largest event of it's type in Seattle and the largest single event that is focused on HIV/AIDS research and related care fundraising in the region. The event was started 4 years ago (this is the 5th annual) as a sister event to the Red Dress Party in Portland. Both parties raise significant money each year for research, education & testing, for our friends and neighbors who are living with HIV and AIDS, and for children who were affected by AIDS. We raise this money exclusively through sponsorships, ticket sales and bar profits. This year we are adding a silent auction component to the event to raise additional money. With a cure hopefully on the horizon, the money raised now can have an impact like never before.
The event is held at Fremont Studios; a huge production facility that this year will be opened up completely to allows for three rooms (one main room, one side room with a stage, another side room for pictures/photo booth and an outdoor area for food trucks).
Entertainment will include:
NeNe Leakes (Hostess) Alexis Jordan (Headlining Performer) Superstar DJ Chi Chi Larue (headlining DJ) Morgan McMichaels (Performing and Red Carpet)
Local showcase stage featuring DJ Bret Law, L.A. Kendall, DJ Lightray, Richard J. Dalton, Robbie Turner, Jamie Von Stratton, Kitten LaRue, Lou Henry Hoover, Aleksa Manila and Kitty Kitty Bang Bang!!!
Most of your ticket price is tax deductible...you will receive a letter following the event for you to use with your 2013 taxes.
PURCHASE OF A TICKET IS A DONATION TO GAY CITY AND THEREFORE IS NOT REFUNDABLE. WE ARE HAPPY TO HELP YOU TRANSFER YOUR TICKET TO SOMEONE ELSE IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND AFTER PURCHASING YOUR TICKETS.
