The Amazing Dickie
The Amazing Dickie" is an original full length stage play written by Tara McMillen. It is about a family coping with issues surrounding homosexuality, embarrassing family ancestory, and alcoholism. It is a dark comedy, playing over three days while the Bergess family prepares for their family reunion. Sixteen year old Steve, victim of a gay bashing by high school boys, tries to come out to his family, but keeps getting upstaged by his confrontational older sister, Casey, his equally confrontational mother, Bonnie and his flamboyant Uncle Dickie.
