An imaginative, collaborative project, "Voices of Los Angeles," introduces eight original songs based on William Blake's "Songs of Experience," written for the Hollywood Master Chorale. Eight local composers have composed lovely and engaging music for a delightful concert experience.
The HMC is privileged to collaborate with talented composers Jeffrey Bernstein, PhD, who designed the VoLA project; Michelle Green Willner, DMA; Sage Lewis, MFA; Nick Strimple, PhD; Joshua Fishbein, MA (pursuing a doctorate at UCLA;) Saad Haddad (Junior at USC;) Jordan Nelson, MA (pursuing a doctorate at USC;) Mark Popeney, DMA (USC.) Dr. Lauren Buckley, Artistic Director and Coordinator of the project, is excited to introduce this new music to the community.
