GARY KRAWFORD LIVE AT THE FLYING BEAVER PUBARET!
FRIDAY, APRIL 26th, 7pm
GARY KRAWFORD

Gary Krawford makes his Pubaret debut!
Feat: John Hughes on piano

About Gary:
Gary began his career in show business when he was 19 years old at the Stratford Festival. His first performance in a musical was as The Boy in "The Fantasticks." And he was hooked on musicals.

Over his long career, Gary has performed on & off-Broadway, played wonderful parts such as Henry Higgins in "My Fair Lady," Harold Hill in "The Music Man," and J. Pierpont Finch in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying."

Gary had the great pleasure in playing Bobby in Steven Sondheim's "Company," on Broadway and in the national tour. Another one of his favorites was Kander & Ebb's "Zorba," in which he toured with Chita Rivera and John Raitt for a full year, never tiring of the great role of Nikos.

Canada has seen Gary at the Shaw Festival starring in "On the Twentieth Century," and at Stratford in "Guys & Dolls." For older Torontonions, he delighted in working with the great Tom Kneebone and Dinah Christie, at a club called the Theatre in the Dell.

50 years in show business  hard to sum it up in a few words but how about some quotes from JOHN KANDER AND HAL PRINCE!  (Yes, THE John Kander and Hal Prince)

Gary not only sang our songs beautifully, but filled out his character with strength and a very moving vulnerability. A kind of charisma that can't really be taught. This is what I remember, so it's not bullshit!  John Kander, Composer: Zorba, Cabaret, Chicago, Kiss of the Spider Woman

Gary Krawford is a first rate singer and experienced artist. He appeared in the original production of Company both in New York & on tour. The notion behind his new act is extremely attractive & one I wish I could see. Hal Prince, Broadway producer & director
