An imagined meeting between two titanic real-life figures in the history of comics!
PLUS! This is the last in the current CBRT series, and there will be an after-party following the event to celebrate our critically acclaimed run. All ticket holder for Wertham Vs. Marston can party with us, and all previous presenters and panelists from the series have been invited.
The one-act pllay "Last Days of The Brave & Bold" presents what might have happened had Wonder Woman's creator Dr. William Moulton Marstonpossessed of two cohabiting wives and a serious promoter of the benefits of BDSMand Dr. Frederic Werthamauthor of the 1954 book "Seduction of the Innocent," which claimed sex and violence were permeating comic books of the period and causing harm to the children who read them sat down for drinks and conversation.
