Escape to Levant: Scott Snyder's French-Arabesque Portland Food Adventure
Portland Food Adventures is all about chefs recommending other places. So, take a look at this for starters:
Seen on Toro/Tasty Chef John Gorham's Facebook page:
"Dinner at Levant, which was truly off the hook. True players."
Scott Snyder's gorgeous new Levant on Burnside features exotic-spiced French-Arabesque cuisine complemented by a fantastic cocktail program. Portland Food Adventures invites you to an evening of the consummate Levant experience just two months into its history.
Levant is a 50-seat escape with a full bar and an open hearth for cooking rich Middle Eastern cuisine. Chef-owner Scott Snyder, whose family and culinary history inspired him to open Levant, will use his French technical background while cooking with traditional North African and Middle Eastern spices and meats.
The menu at the 2,300-square foot, geometrically tiled restaurant reflects old-world flavors and features reclaimed wood and rustic fabrics in blue with brown accents. An open kitchen is surrounded by a beautiful floor-to-ceiling L-shaped bar adorned with a library ladder. A custom 6-foot wide open hearth will be the centerpiece and is accompanied by Tuscan fireplace-style grills and a log burner that enable Snyder to use a variety of preparations when cooking meats.
You will enjoy a minimum of six courses and pairings--cocktails, sake... all chef's choice.
Plus Scott will curate a journey to some of his favorite places in Portland... Little Bird Bistro, The Rum Club, and Aybla Grill. He'll talk about them and you will be going to try them with at least $40 worth of gift certificates to take with you.
Multiple food experiences for the price of one. It really is a great value!
Great for food groups and entertaining clients and/or employees.
