Sleepless 'til Seattle
A light-hearted, entertaining talk featuring film clips, photos and music about a 4-month, 4000 mile journey by two Scottish cyclists across the United States, from the east coast at Plymouth to the west coast at Seattle. With no support team and only tents for accommodation.
A simple bicycle ride becomes a challenging adventure as they encounter bears, storms, empty prairies, intense heat, mechanical failures and a colourful set of characters along the road. Share the joys of the journey with two intrepid travellers and discover the real America in the small, friendly towns, the spectacular landscapes and the warmth and kindness of the people.
Presented by the two cyclists, Graham Kitchener and Pauline Symaniak. The DVD of the feature documentary about the adventure will be available to buy on the night.
