New Works by Composers, Jeremiah Bornfield and Neil Prufer
The Helix Piano Trio and other instrumental guests will accompany and perform vocal and solo works by two young New York composers.
Bornfield will offer three scenes from his new opera "The Garden", featuring grammy winning soprano Trudy Craney, also premiering two songs written in collaboration with librettist Royce Vavrek, and Helix pianist Chris Wilson will present "Trillium" for solo piano. Also on the program by Bornfield, "Reflections of the Unknowing Deceased" and a premiere arrangement for piano trio of his work "Metamorphosis".
Prufer brings two works for the trio, one instrumental piece based on Robert Frost's "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening", and another instrumental/vocal piece on the text "Sonnet to Sleep" by John Keats.
