Orphans to Ambassadors Run for Lights 5K
Did you know that more than 1.6 billion people live without electricity?  Orphans to Ambassadors brings lights and energy to those that do not have access to electricity.

Orphans to Ambassadors is a non-profit organization focused on improving the lives of orphaned and marginalized children in poverty stricken areas around the world through the installation of sustainable solutions. We specialize in solar panels, fuel efficient stoves, water filtration and rain water harvesting systems, vegetable gardens, livestock farms and much more.  We are very excited to host our first run to raise money in support of solar electricity for two orphanages in Uganda.

Please join the Orphans to Ambassadors 'Run for Lights' 5K run at Lincoln Park in West Seattle on May 4th to raise fund for solar installation projects taking place in 2013.  

We would love to see you there and help us Run for Lights!

Registration:
- Day of registration and check in begins at 8:30am at Shelter 3 (along the path by the water)
- To get to the registration booth, take the path by the south entrance of the park that leads down to the water
- Each runner gets a race shirt!
- Registration closes at 9:45am
- Registration costs:
   - Day of Registration: $35 per person
   - Register online before May 1st:
        - $20 for runners under 18 (proof of ID required at registration booth)
        - $30 for runners over 18
        - Groups of 10+: $5 off per runner

Race:
- Race begins at 10:00am at Shelter 3
- Race finishes at 11:30am at Shelter 3
- 3 mile run, chip-timed
- Children, walkers, runners and pets on leash are welcome

Post-Race:
- Upon finishing there will be free drinks and snacks to celebrate your run!
- At 11:30am prizes will be awarded to the fastest runners in each of the following groups:
   - Fastest female runner in the 18 and under age group
   - Fastest male runner in the 18 and under age group
   - Fastest female runner in the over 18 age group
   - Fastest male runner in the over 18 age group
- Race results and photos will be posted within 7 days (please check back on the Orphans to Ambassadors events website: www.orphanstoambassadors.org)

The run takes place in a park so expect some uneven terrain and a few hills but it is well worth the view and the cause!
