The 2008 Southwest Washington Sustainability Conference & Trade Show, presented by the City of Vancouver and Clark County, is proud to offer a special evening keynote presentation by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., at 7 p.m., Thursday, July 10.

In "Our Environmental Destiny," Robert F. Kennedy Jr. discusses the role that natural resources play in our work, our health and our identity as Americans. Through this speech, he reminds us that we have a responsibility to protect and preserve our environment for the future.

Thursday's special presentation is included in registration for the 2008 Southwest Washington Sustainability Conference & Trade Show, presented by the City of Vancouver and Clark County, July 10-11, 2008. The conference features a dynamic list of nationally-recognized speakers designed to provoke thought and action.

Single ticket sales to the RFK Jr. presentation are also being made available to the public.

FREE COMMUNITY SUSTAINABILITY EVENT: The entire community is invited to learn about sustainable living practices when this year's sustainability conference heads into the weekend and a free community GreenFest, Saturday, July 12. Join with family, neighbors and friends at free workshops and lively activities designed to engage everyone in learning and making day-to-day practices more sustainable. GreenFest is along the waterfront at Marine Park and the Water Resources Education Center, 4600 SE Columbia Way, Vancouver, Washington, just across the Columbia River from Portland, Oregon.
