Spring SowDown Festival on Oxbow Farm
It's time for our 2nd annual SowDown on the Farm! Sunday, May 5th 10am-2pm
Meet your farmers and get a glimpse of what life is like on the farm in Spring - This is where your food starts! Come explore, plant, learn, and celebrate!
We have lots of opportunities and activities to learn about gardening, worms, chicks, bunnies and bees.
Portage Bay Grange Chicks and Bunnies! Stop by to pet these cute spring babies and learn all about how to keep chickens in your backyard!
GoGo Green Garden with Amy Pennington Want to grow vegetables at home? Come and learn from GoGo Green Garden on how to grow food in a small urban space! Check out live planting demos, ask questions and learn some tips and tricks for getting started on growing plants intensively. Stock your kitchen all year long! We'll even have Oxbow vegetable starts for purchase at the Oxbow Farm Stand!
Chef and Father Come see Chef Greg Johnson compete against Chef Jason Vickers and their kids in our first ever Chef and Father cooking ThrowDown!
WSU Small Farm Extension Dr Doug is returning with our favorite soil builders, Worms! Prepare to get dirty!
Heidi Bohan Explore and forage for exciting native wild edibles with ethno botanist, educator and author, Heidi Bohan!
Paul Bryant Learn about bees and bee keeping and taste some honey with King County Master Gardener Paul Bryant.
Camp Korey Our friends will be bringing their fun seed match activity, farm "web" and a simple butter-making activity
Oxbow Native Plant Nursery Welcome to the newest addition to Oxbow Farm. Come learn about what they will be doing in the coming season.
And don't forget about making flower crowns, chalk art, decorating a fairy house, and our annual May Pole celebration - accompanied by the Valley of the Moon Fiddlers.
