Kaija Saariaho plus Johannes Brahms
Allegra Chapman (piano), Laura Gaynon (cello), Jessica Chang (viola) perform Finnish composer Saariahos dreamlike Je sens en deuxiéme coeur, plus the Brahms Horn Trio, Op. 40.
Pianist Allegra Chapman is the founder of San Franciscos Bard Music West. She studied with Peter Serkin at the Bard College Conservatory of Music before taking a Masters Degree at Juilliard. Violist Jessica Chang has performed at the Tanglewood Music Center, the Aspen Festival and Canadas National Arts Centre. She holds an artist diploma from the Curtis Institute of Music. Cellist Laura Gaynon performs with the American Bach Soloists, the Pacific Crest Chamber Players, the Magik*Magik Orchestra, and Musa. Laura is Co-founder and Co-artistic Director of Bard Music West.
405 Shrader is San Francisco intimate concert hall (44 seats). Concerts our just under one hour in length. You are offered a glass of wine and following the concert you will meet the artists.
