2. LA CIFRA by A. Salieri

"La Cifra" is an American Premier of a nearly lost Salieri gem. We have paired it in repertory with the American premiere of "Don Giovanni", and more music by and about Mozart and Salieri, two colleagues in the court of Emperor Joseph II. Join dell'Arte's inspiring young singers this August on a summer visit to the world of Mozart and Salieri, seen and heard through the lens of their collaborations with Lorenzo da Ponte. Other special performances on our "Scenes from Vienna" Program include Rimsky-Korsakov's "Mozart and Salieri" excerpts from "Cosi fan tutte" and "Le nozze di Figaro" as well as Salieri's own "Falstaff". All productions are offered with orchestra and English surtitles at the handicap-accessible La Mama Theatre.
