KNIFE TO THE HEART-the circumcision comedy
KNIFE TO THE HEART is a new comedy play that takes place in the suburban Dallas apartment of Marshall and Julie Ann Katz (JOSH ZUCKERMAN, ANDREA BOWEN), a young interfaith couple. When they discover that they have twin boys on the way, no one is kvelling more than Marshall's mother Rhonda (ANNE DESALVO), queen of Texas organic foods, and the 21st century Jewish mother weve been waiting for. But suddenly the whole family is pulled into a tug-of-war, with a little help from YouTube, a meddling gay school teacher (TODD SHERRY), and more than a few centuries of tradition. By the time its over, theres no telling who (or what) will be left intact.
The show is being produced by Steve Abrams, Tony Di Angelo, Stefani Nicole Von Huben and Pop-Up Playhouse. This is a tryout run before a Chicago Spring 2019 production.
