Romancing the Oyster

Saturday, February 10th at 6p.m.

Sample oysters from the island's community of oyster farmers, taste Executive Chef Richard's oyster inspired bites and learn about the MV Shellfish Group. Event format is cocktail style, with some stations, passed hors d'oeuvres and local raw bars. Get ready for an unprecedented oyster tasting!

The Martha's Vineyard Shellfish Group, Inc. is a non-profit organization comprised of the shellfish departments of the six Island towns. For over thirty five years, the Group's community-based resource management program has sought to preserve and expand the Island's traditional shell fisheries. Key to this effort has been the operation of a solar-assisted shellfish hatchery, the application of innovative aquaculture technology and a continuing vigilance to improve and maintain the good surface water quality crucial to a viable shellfish industry.

Tickets $60 per person
$8 from each ticket sold will benefit Martha's Vineyard Shellfish Group.
