V-Day Berkeley High School 2013
The award-winning play is based on V-Day Founder/playwright Eve Ensler's interviews with more than 200 women. With humor and grace, the piece celebrates women's sexuality and strength. Through this play and the liberation of this one word, countless women throughout the world have taken control of their bodies and their lives. For almost fifteen years, The Vagina Monologues has given voice to experiences and feelings not previously exposed in public.
It has long been a tradition for the young women of Berkeley High to come together and perform this piece. This year's proceeds will benefit V-Day and Bay Area Women Against Rape, two organizations doing amazing work to stop violence against women.
Shows are February 14, 15, 22, and 23 at 7pm. Buy your tickets at the door or online.
