Event
V-Day@AULA 2013
AULA is stepping to the global fight to end violence against women once again with three awesome events that celebrate women.
One Billion Rising is this years spot-light campaign and Antioch will be joining in with a flash mob on February 14th. The event is free but flash mobs are secret so you;'ll have to keep your ear to the ground to witness this thing of beauty.
Friday night we are offering A Memory, a Monologue, a Rant and a Prayer, which is a groundbreaking collection of monologues by world renowned authors and playwrights edited by Eve Ensler and Mollie Doyle.
Saturday night will be V-Day's signature piece The vagina Monologues which is Eve Ensler's pioneering play that gives voice to outrageous, poignant, and thoroughly human stories, transforming the question mark hovering over the female anatomy into a permanent victory sign.
One night $15 and both nights$25.
This year's beneficiaries are One Billion Rising which is V-Day's Spotlight campaign and our local beneficiary will be Linda's Voice, a local organization with the mission of engaging, educating and empowering women to work together to end domestic abuse.
