Nana Projects Parade School- Back by popular demand! June 4-7 2008 Baltimore, MD
An advanced training program for artists and community organizers interested in the artistry of community based parades. This year Parade School will feature expanded programming including Parade Logistics, more networking opportunities, inspiring guest lecture series and so much more. Parade School Faculty comes from around the nation with leadership experience in the artistry of parades. 2008 instructors include: Spiral Q Puppet Theater, (Philly), Alison Heimstead (LA), The Great Halloween Lantern Parade (Balt.) and more! Parade School offers: Concrete Skills, Practical advice and guidance from specialists on Parade Arts.
Tools for artists and communities to express themselves in creative, and innovative ways.
Networking opportunities with professionals in the field of Parade Arts. Housing is available for out of town students. ($36.25/night) Nana Projects, Inc. is a non-profit company of lanterneers and visual alchemists creating innovative artwork that draws people together in public spaces, strengthening their sense of community identity through shared cultural experience.
