On Beauty

Nancy Karp + Dancers is premiering "On Beauty," our newest work created and performed at the David Brower Center, in downtown Berkeley. Inspired by the Brower Centers current exhibition, Douglas R. Tompkins: On Beauty, which celebrates the life and work of the late conservationist Doug Tompkins, the dance company will present a new site-specific performance work.

"On Beauty" features a sound score by Bay Area composer Charles Amirkhanian and dancers Sonsherée Giles, Sebastian Grubb, Amy Lewis, Megan Lowe, and Charles Slender-White.

Truth and beauty can still win battles. We need more art, more passion, more wit in defense of the Earth. -David Brower
