Highline Classic Jazz Festival
The only Northwest Jazz Festival that celebrates the first half century of jazz in ALL its forms: Traditional and Dixieland, Swing, Gypsy Jazz, Big Band, Blues and Ragtime, Zydeco, and more. The 5th annual Festival features fifteen classic jazz bands on three stages in the elegant Landmark Event Center in Des Moines. Two dance floors, two beer and wine bars, and a full no-host dinner add to the party atmosphere. Bands include The Rhythm Bugs, Pearl Django, Del Rey & Matt Weiner, Holotradband, Glenn Crytzer & His Syncopators, Greg Ruby Quartet, Swamp Soul, Highline/Aviation High School Jazz Band, The Canote Brothers Band, Ranger & the Re-Arrangers, Gail Pettis, Alex Guilbert Trio, Leftover Dreams, The First Thursday Band, and featuring Casey MacGill's Orchestra.
