You may think that you know Tennessee Williams, but you don't. Stone Soup Theatre presents 5 X TENN (OR SO), selected one acts published after the death of one of America's most treasured playwrights. It's been five years since Stone Soup Theatre produced the west coast premiere of 5 X TENN, (directed by Julie Beckman) to both audience and critical acclaim. Now, to satisfy the hunger of Williams' fans, Stone Soup offers up 5 X TENN (OR SO), six seldom produced, one acts, that will transport us to a post-apocalyptic dystopian society with Chalky White Substance; take us to a flooded New Orleans (eerily reminiscent of the 2005 Hurricane Katrina) in Kingdom of Earth; and encounter the dangers, both hidden and obvious, of a fascist regime in The Municipal Abattoir. In addition, equally prophetic, provocative, and confrontational pieces will seduce and shock you: Talk to Me Like the Rain, Sunburst, and The Big Game.
This production features the talents of Scott Zogg, Patrick Baxter, Gianni Truzzi, Terrence Boyd, Jesse Putnam, Brynne Garman, Maureen Miko, and Alysha Curry. 5XTenn (or so) is directed by Ellen Graham. Photos by Armen Stein.

Dear Stone Soup Theatre supporter,
Tennessee Williams needs your help!
Well, actually, Tennessee has been dead for a long time so he doesn't need your help, but Stone Soup Theatre's production of his plays does! 5XTenn (or so) is scheduled for our winter production slot (2/15/2013 to 3/9/2013) and we are asking our Stone Soup friends and patrons to give us a leg up on the show. The economy has caught up with us and we need help with costumes, sets and other production costs.
We at Stone Soup produce our shows to the best of our ability within the limit our tiny theatre allows. We're generally right on target but expenses keep going up and we cannot add seats to generate more income. That's why we're turning to you. Tennessee Williams is one of America's most important playwrights and SST is offering the chance to see several of one-acts that are rarely, if ever, performed. To that end, we are asking the following: $25 buys at least one special prop, $50 helps purchase a period costume, and $100 helps build the set. Any and all other amounts will go directly into these areas of production. So, now is the time to put your name where it counts - right on stage! Please help us out and become Tennessee's patron! We'll all benefit from it. This is our end of the plea for a brilliant start to 2013.
