Symphony Serenade Presents Sing a Spook-tacular Hallo-boo!
Symphony Serenade is a non profit performing group focused on creating an entertaining hour for families to learn and grow together. "Sing a Spook-tacular Hallo-boo" has two primary focuses- hearing and feeling the differences in major and minor tonalities in music and how children use games and costume play to build self identity. But don't let those heady ideas scare you- it's rip-roaringly fun show, full of laughter and it includes many opportunities for you and your child to participate from your seats. (And it's not a scary Halloween show.... ) There will a bounce with some counting, multiple opportunities to sing along, and a story where the audience supplies the sound effects (and sings, too!) and it all ends with a lullaby and an opportunity to snuggle up with your favorite little people. You'll hear familiar music and new songs, too, as well as classical favorites, complete with wacky lyrics to make them singable.
The performers on stage are all professional musicians who are deeply committed to the idea that music making is not only the very best way to stimulate childhood development, but that everyone can benefit from making a little music together- even if all you feel conformable with is clapping along! Miss Allison, Chadd, Stacey and Michael have been creating Symphony Serenade shows for 10 years, and are always thrilled to walk out on stage and begin get process of transforming your day with a silly song or three, and a whole lot of laughter.
