Old Year's Night with Miss Ollie's and People's Kitchen
A beautiful evening full of beautiful people. What more could you want to bring in the New Year?!
Old Year's Night is a tradition in Barbados that celebrates the year past and welcomes the new year with open arms!
The People's Kitchen and Miss Ollie's Restaurant will be partnering to throw down in the kitchen and bring to you the best of their shared indo-african roots. Music brought to you by some of the bay's best DJs. Caribbean Drink specials all night by Miss Ollie's master mixologists!
We will be featuring a 4 course meal that will tell the story of a shared migration of Indo-African peoples. Chef Sarah of Miss Ollie's and Chef Saqib of People's Kitchen will follow the shared migration of their ancestors and bring those stories to your table using the finest local, organic and seasonal ingredients.
Skip the big parties and ridiculous crowds and bring in the New Years with people you love, people who love you and some hella good food.
The whole evening will be a benefit for People's Kitchen, a sliding-scale community restaurant in Swan's Marketplace that focuses on raising money for grass roots political movements. We are hoping to raise money to keep operating in the new year!
Tickets are limited!
We will do a 5:30 dinner seating for those of you going to other parties and concerts afterwards.
We will also do a 7:30pm dinner seating for those of you who want to stay and party with us! Post dinner, we will pull away the tables and get wild!
We will also be selling a party-only ticket for those of you who just want to come later for drinks and dancing!
