From Concept to Production: An Evening with Alison Cook Beatty Dance will begin at 7 PM with a reception of complimentary drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Artwork, Alison's choreographic journal entries, and items that inspired these dances will be on display until 8 PM. The two-part program will include an inside look at the concepts and methods in which the dances were crafted and also the tools that Alison used to create these works. Alison and the dancers will demonstrate these concepts and show the process leading up to each work itself. The latter half of the evening will include a full studio performance of three works. You will see a NEW WORK, a reconstructed work that has gone through three transitional changes, and a solo work danced by Alison that she worked on for over two decades. At the end of the evening, there will be a brief question and answer session with the dancers and Alison. Don't miss this unique evening that reveals the inner workings of the artist's soul. All ticket prices will increase by $5 at the door, so order yours in advance today!
