Cocktails at Rally with the Darlingtons

CRAFT COCKTAILS 101 is a hands-on cocktail hour! Learn how to shake, stir, muddle, and set up your home bar.

Join sibling cocktail book authors André and Tenaya Darlington (@withthedarlingtons) for a workshop at Rally Coffee (701 S. 7th St) in Philadelphia Sept 29 at 7 P.M.

This is the launch of a three class series! Craft Cocktails 101 covers cocktail history plus technique -- everything you need to know to go from novice or enthusiast to serious cocktailian-in-training. Each workshop includes 3 craft cocktails, plus light bites. Participants will be guided through the creation of each drink and given recipes, history, tips, and techniques. Plus, find out about the best home bar gear, how to set up a well-organized home bar, and how to batch stunning drinks for parties. In short, everything you wanted to know about craft cocktails but were afraid to ask!

The following two classes will be:

Oct. 20: Cocktails of the Silver Screen
Nov. 17: Craft Cocktails for the Holidays

Note: workshop lasts approx. 90 minutes.

About the hosts: André and Tenaya are the authors of The New Cocktail Hour, a book praised by the L.A. Times for containing "everything you need to know about throwing a successful cocktail party." It quickly became one of the best-selling cocktail books, and a bible for both home enthusiasts and the industry. They are also the authors of TCM's Movie Night Menus (Running Press, 2016), where they pair classic cocktails with classic films. Their next book, Booze & Vinyl, is devoted to rekindling listening parties and will be released in Spring 2018.
