In preparation for the 2018 Coney Island Ritual Cabaret Festival, Diego Piñón will be guiding a workshop in order to weave old threads with new sparks and to unearth and cultivate new visions. We welcome ourselves to this Tavern in movement. An open door to the self, and community, where one is invited to remove the layers of repetition and forgetfulness, and touch the playful, the ridiculous, and those undeniable prayers of the body. Taking the inspiration from Coney Islands wild roots, and the deeper significance of Cabaret, we will call that original intimate space where human beings could liberate from their oppressions.

Following the approach of Body Ritual Movement, with Diego as guide, we will follow the spiral of ritual into our own dreamworlds to gather, deconstruct and expose. With the support of intensive breath work and the opening of the energetic centers and joints of the body we will attempt to weave our dreamworlds as one, reflecting, witnessing, and attempting to penetrate that delicate veil between our souls and recover our innate sisterhood, brotherhood and the ineffable togetherness beyond any concept or form.
