Artsworth Fundraiser: Concert with Hymn for Her.
Ellsworth is a featured location during Maine Craft Weekend and will be promoted as a hub for cultural activities in Downeast Maine.
Artsworth, your downtown Ellsworth community arts organization, that brings you exhibits, education and events, will be participating by hosting a concert at our warehouse studios with rock and roll road warriors, Hymn for Her.
Hymn for Her, a dynamic duo, presents original music inspired by blues, country, and punk, and has been described as Hillbillies with electronics opening Pandoras Box. Their 3rd release, Lucy and Waynes Smokin Flames, was described as a riotous, rocking roadkill stew by U.K music critic Steve Bennett. Wayne Waxing rocks the kick-drum, high-hat, acoustic guitar, and harp while Lucy Tight plays a custom-made cigar-box guitar dubbed The Riff Monster.
Hymn for Her has been touring their unique sound across the country and abroad for the past few years. Before they hit our Ellsworth studio on October 13th, they will have toured in Italy, Germany and many states along the east coast. We cant wait to get share their groove with you in Artsworth's raw warehouse style.
