EPIC's 40th Anniversary Fall Celebration with Casey Neill and the Norway Rats, Alice DiMicele, and Joanne Rand
Join us as we celebrate forty years of grassroots activism for forest and wildlife protection Friday, November 3rd from 6pm-midnight at the Mateel Community Center in Redway, CA.
6PM: doors open for Cocktail hour with Joanne Rand. 7PM: Gourmet tempeh or salmon dinner provided by Sue's Organics, followed by the Sempervirens Award Ceremony honoring Judi Bari's legacy of activism. 9PM: Music by Casey Neill and the Norway Rats and Alice DiMicele.
JOANNE RAND traverses love, politics, conservation, spirituality and life with a seasoned-to-perfection voice, that, according to Terry Tempest Williams, "Opens the doors of creation." -Santa Cruz Weekly, 2010
ALICE DIMICELE seeks to uplift the human experience through music. Her lyrics are love incantations to the elements earth, water, fire, and air. Drawing from a rich musical background including folk, jazz, funk, rock, and soul DiMiceles acoustic music incorporates many styles creating a fresh funky stew all her own.
CASEY NEILL AND THE NORWAY RATS harmonize haunting melodies with high octane folk-punk. Neill's weather beaten narratives tell stories of environmental and social justice movements, and explore the hidden corners of the American landscape. Longtime activists and friends of EPIC, we're thrilled to throw it back with some of our favorite songs including "Dancing on the Ruins of Multinational Corporations".
