KPU Music Faculty Showcase 2017-18
Join KPU Langley's Music Department Performance Faculty as they share their talents in the second season of KPU Music Faculty Showcase.
This season will open on Oct. 27 with The Touch of Brass, a dynamic quintet that has graced concert stages world-wide with KPU's trumpet instructor Tom Shorthouse leading the way.
The internationally acclaimed Borealis String Quartet follows on January 19. As artists-in-residence, the Borealis will again share their intense style of music-making with their audience.
The season wraps up on March 2 with a CDelebration - an eclectic concert combining KPU jazz and classical performers and guests. This evening will mark the official release of three new CDs. Come to hear bassist Jodi Proznick's Sun Songs and two CDs featuring KPU's Julia Nolan, saxophone and Jane Hayes, piano with guest violinist Joan Blackman and clarinetist Francois Houle. This night will be a first for KPU and a celebration of 25 years of music instruction at KPU.
All concerts are held in the KPU Langley auditorium, 20901 Langley Bypass. Concerts begin at 7:30 pm.
