This Sinking Island
The Anthropologists theatre company invites the whole family on a mythical journey. A father and his children must leave all theyve ever known in search of a new home. Set in a landscape crafted out of repurposed materials. This Sinking Island celebrates the courage of refugee communities impacted by climate change. Movement, poetry, masks, live music and the spirit of childhood play, inspire the hope and empathy that will keep us moving forward.
This theatrical event is for imaginations of all ages. It runs approximately 45 minutes and includes a family art-making activity.
The Friday evening performance will be a special event in conjunction with Climate Change Theatre Action (CCTA), pairing This Sinking Island with a reading of a short climate change play amplifying COP23, the United Nations Conference of the Parties meetings.
