'Aina Fest 2017 - 8th Annual
'Aina Fest is an annual harvest & music festival produced by Hawai'i Institute of Pacific Agriculture (HIP Ag). 100% of festival proceeds directly fund HIP Ag's Educational Programming: Residential Farmer Trainings, Youth Education, and Community Events.
KEIKI Ages 8 & under are FREE! No need to get in advance - get your Keiki Ticket at the door!
Festival Elements Include: - Superb line-up of international and local musicians with conscious messages - Traditional Hawaiian blessings & cultural practices shared by Kumus & Kahunas - Hula performances by multiple halau - Fire dancing & aerial circus arts - Local & organic food vendors - Arts & crafts vendors - Hands on educational activities - Makahiki Games - Keiki (youth) activities
Born out of husband and wife team Dash & Erika Kuhrs desire to share the abundance of food and the vast potential for healthy living in Niuli'i, 'Aina Fest grows richer in offerings and attendance each year. 2016's festival attracted 2,500 people.
Past festivals have featured celebrated musicians, activists & cultural practitioners including Nahko and Medicine for the People, Mike Love, OKA, Paula Fuga, Ooklah the Moc, Chris Berry, Tubby Love, Hawane Rios, Pualani Case, Lanakila Mangauil, Hualalai and more.
