Music In Mind 2017
To celebrate World Mental Health Day 2017, the Bath Music In Mind Collective are thrilled to announce their first awareness and fundraising gig in aid of St Mungo's, KS2 and Bath MIND.
Music In Mind 2017 takes place on Friday 13th October at the Old Orchard Street Theatre in Bath and features co-headline sets from South West Americana superstars littlemen and heartfelt Bristol troubadour Sam Eason. Both Simon (littlemen) and Sam have experienced mental ill health at various times in their lives. As well as performing at Music in Mind 2017, they've set themselves the challenge of co-writing and recording an exclusive song for the event... in just 6 weeks! The song will then be available for download with all proceeds also going to the charity.
Helen Brian from St Mungo's says; "We are hugely grateful to Sam Eason and littlemen who will be performing. These massively talented musicians have a huge local fan base and we are delighted that they are promoting this amazing cause".
littlemen are led by singer-songwriter Simon Allen with Robert Brian (drums), guitarists Paul Hartshorn and Marcel Rose (guitar), Andrew Maggs (bass) and Jon Buckett (keys). littlemen play emotive alt-country / Americana and after releasing debut album, Long Road Home in 2016 are now working on an EP set for release later in 2017.
Sam Eason is a Bath based singer-songwriter originally from Bristol. He has performed live sessions on BBC Introducing in The West and has supported the likes of Scott Matthews, Turin Brakes and James Vincent McMorrow. He released his second EP, Undertow written about his own mental health struggles, in January 2017.
