TV. For this ultra festive Christmas Special, sometimeshost Mary Boom! (Dirty Looks NYC curator Bradford Nordeen) has hit her rolodex to bring you some Downtown New York holiday realness, with a varietystyle evening of seasonal favorites performed by Justin Vivian Bond (Kiki and Herb, cabaret performer, author, artist and perfumer extraordinaire), Dynasty Handbag (Jibz Cameron), Geo Wyeth, Kate Bush Dance Troupe (artists Samara Davis, Erica Magrey, Sophia Peer, Sophia Cleary, Kate Scherer), Marti Domination (Black Lips Performance Cult), Nicholas Gorham (The Spectrum), Nicholas Buffon (artist), Jennifer Blowdryer (Good Advice for Young Trendy People of All Ages, White Trash Debutante) with special surprise video Christmas cards from some very illustrious guests. Taking a note from past Christmas Specials like "RuPaul's Christmas Ball," "Pee Wee's Christmas Special," "The Divine David Presents...," and "The Kate Bush Christmas Special," this winter wonderland of festive delights will be serving a heaping portion of holiday tinsel and spray tanner for everyone on your list. Featuring original costumes by Hayley Blatte and sets by artist Joseph Jagos, the event will also be the timely premiere of Mary Boom!s debut (and sure to be Billboard smash) single, "White Christmas! (May Your Days Be Mary and White)" performed by Miss Boom! and Scott Richard Tankersley. Downtown Art Star, Uptown fashion maven, on-trend and on time, Mary Boom! has been running the New York art world since opening her gallery in the once- chic neighborhood of Soho in the 1980s. Favoring to stay quite Avant-Garde, Boom!s move to the Lower East Side in the late 1990s precipitated a flood of fledgling galleries hoping to ape her style and real estate realness. Mary Boom! is given form by Bradford Nordeen, an independent curator and writer who founded Dirty Looks, a monthly platform for queer experimental film and video in January 2011 and has written for publications like Art in America, Lambda Literary and Butt, among many others. E.S.P. TV is a nomadic showcase of primarily NYCbased experimental music, video art and performance, formed in January of 2011 and produced for Manhattan Neighborhood Network public television. Tapings of E.S.P. TV are in front of an audience with live greenscreening, signal manipulation and analog video mixing. The entire night is recorded to VHS and edited into half hour episodes for airing on cable TV in New York City. After airing, the episodes are posted online at www.esptvnyc.com for later viewing. E.S.P. TV has worked with various venues including: Present Company, The Schoolhouse, La Sala, 285 Kent, Vaudeville Park, Spectacle Theater, and Roulette (Brooklyn, NY), Franklin Street Works (Stamford, CT), Liminal Space (Oakland), Queens Nails Projects (San Francisco), Millennium Film Workshop, as a part of INDEX Festival, Silvershed, Printed Matter (NYC), General Public (Berlin) and Pallas Projects (Dublin).
